How to decide when the experience is strong enough to shape the route.
Travel for a specific reason
A room is worth travelling for when it offers something you cannot easily get nearby: a distinctive format, a standout set, a strong reputation, a rare theme, or a company lineup that makes the trip more than one booking.
Look for a small cluster
One great room can justify a detour, but two or three strong options make the plan easier. Check whether the city or company has enough variety for your group, especially if travel time is significant.
Respect the whole night
Travel changes the booking. Parking, food, timing, and energy all matter. A destination room should feel exciting enough that the journey adds anticipation rather than pressure.
